To celebrate Organic September, we are delighted to release a cracking Organic Cider case, bringing some brand new producers and releases to you.

The ciders we've selected are produced using organic apples and are grown without pesticides and fungicides. The trees are fed naturally, often with livestock grazing and fertilising the grass below. This is the ultimate in low intervention cider production - creating exceptional wildlife habitats too.

The Organic Case contains six exceptional ciders from around the UK, all produced with nature's best interests in mind.

Butford Organics Cinnabar (Dry, 6.8% ABV) - A blend of 2020 Dabinett and the acidity of 2019 Browns Apple, this is only just available in 500ml bottle format, and well worth the wait. A proper, dry, traditional cider.

Dunkertons Organic Dabinett (Medium-Dry, 6.9% ABV) - A brand new single variety release from the pioneers of Organic Cider at Dunkertons, where Julian was voted Organic Ambassador for 2021 recently. Drink with a hearty winter stew, as they suggest.

River Cottage Organic Bold Oak Cider (Medium-Dry, 6.8% ABV) - A collaboration between Newton Court and River Cottage. As cider is one of Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s favourite drinks, Paul Stephens has crafted this with a blend of organic cider fruit from River Cottage HQ and Newton Court. This medium-dry cider gets its name from maturing in oak casks, adding depth and complexity to its flavour.

Dorset Nectar Wildcat (Medium, 5.5% ABV) - Very popular, medium, sparkling cider from our first Dorset producer. The cider is named after the famous wildcat that has been spotted in the area right next to the farm! No sulphites are added in the production of this cider.

Sheppy’s Vintage Organic (Medium, 6% ABV) - This cider comes exclusively from Sheppy’s oldest orchard (planted in the 1930s) which they manage organically, and includes some rare traditional varieties such as Dove and Hangdown. These grand craggy old apple trees are perfect for an oak-aged vintage cider.

Lyne Down Organics Roaring Meg* (Medium, 5.2% ABV) - We particularly wanted to include this cider as it is made from a traditional mixed orchard planted by the late Jean Nowell. Jean was instrumental in promoting real cider and perry and was a mentor to many well known local Ledbury producers. Roaring Meg is an easy-drinking medium made from a blend of over 30 different cider apples grown in the orchards.

*Lyne Down is not yet certified as an organic producer by the Soil Association but all of their cider is produced from an organic orchard.
